One of my favorite places to camp in the National Forest is Diamond Creek located in the beautiful mountains of South East Idaho.
This place is full of Elk, Mule Deer, Moose, & Wild Birds of every description from raptors to small song birds.
If you like watching wildlife or just listening to wind blowing though the trees, this is one of those special places.
The road in is usually well maintained in summer but very narrow in places. It is also mostly wet & muddy during the spring runoff, so I would not recommend trying to travel in here before at least mid June.
Also, if you have a larger RV I would recommend you not come in by way of Blackfoot River Road, but take the Lanes Creek Road instead. Both roads turn off from Hwy. 34.
